The fascination of Danube infiltration
Cycling
Stage 1
The first part of the International Danube Cycle Path here on the Young Danube is certainly one of the most scenically impressive sections of the entire route. Shortly after the source of the Danube, the Danube Cycle Path leads into the middle of the Danube Uplands near Geisingen and then along the river through the Danube's breakthrough valley to Sigmaringen. Numerous sights and scenic highlights line the route - it is therefore worth planning at least 2 days for the stretch between Donaueschingen and Sigmaringen. The return journey is easy by train.
