About the project:

The combination of "topics of the city" - "personalities from city life" - "the city as a place of experience" and an interplay of analog place and digital space - these are the talking benches of Waldkirch.

I find a plaque with a QR code on a talking bench. Scanning this with a smartphone takes me to the corresponding website from which an audio file is played.
A virtual bench neighbor sits on a park bench next to me and talks about his many years of activity in his association and its topic, his project or his institution in Waldkirch, or even about interesting events throughout the city.

The aim of the project is to improve the quality of life in the city. Together with the citizens of Waldkirch, we set topics in the city: Their special perspective and personality make the offer exciting - for tourists, new citizens and even for long-time residents! The number of benches, topics and the type of offer can be expanded and adapted in the future. For example, temporary project benches or interchangeable benches can be added - the development possibilities are manifold.
